True and NBTC inspect SIM registration in 3 central provinces to curb call-center scam gangs

Inspections cover service centers and dealers in Samut Sakhon, Samut Songkhram and Phetchaburi, focused on identity verification and proper customer-data collection
True Corporation and the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) carried out field inspections of SIM card registration in three central coastal provinces — Samut Sakhon, Samut Songkhram, and Phetchaburi — beginning operations at the True Shop branch in Central Mahachai.
This joint operation, led by senior NBTC and True executives, focused on checking service centers and dealers on identity verification processes, number registration, and customer data handling. Lt. Gen. Dr. Natthon Prasongsoonthorn said that proper SIM registration isn't just regulatory compliance but a key mechanism for closing off avenues criminals use to exploit phone numbers.
True also promoted its True CyberSafe service, an automatic cybersecurity protection system covering all True and dtac customers, blocking dangerous links at no additional cost.
