Helping affected employees
Following heavy rain and flash flooding in Bangkok during September 25–27, 2026, with several areas experiencing high floodwater levels and travel difficulties, many Huawei employees were affected. Huawei Thailand set up a special coordination unit, dispatching boats and food directly to affected employees.
Delivering relief bags through the Ministry of Education
Mr. David Li, CEO of Huawei Thailand, represented the company in handing over 400 relief bags, along with 100 sacks of rice, 70 trays of eggs, and dried food plus other essentials, to Mr. Prasert Chanthararuangthong, Minister of Education, to help schools, students, families, and the public affected by the flooding.
Minister Prasert thanked Huawei and said the Ministry had tasked the Office of the Vocational Education Commission with setting up "Vocational Kitchens," using the rice, eggs, and ingredients to cook fresh meals for people in flood-affected areas, operating at 3 locations: Lak Si housing estate (near the Government Complex at Chaeng Watthana), Sriputa School in Saphan Sung district, and the King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL).
Mr. David Li said Huawei has operated in Thailand for 27 years, remaining committed to growing alongside the country. Beyond its support through government agencies, Huawei employees also helped pack relief bags with dried food and essentials, delivering them directly to people in affected areas themselves.
