Fujifilm launches instax Pal 2, a tiny 10-megapixel camera with 30 effects, priced at 5,690 baht, on sale Sept 29

Fujifilm (Thailand) Co., Ltd. launched the instax Pal 2, a new portable digital camera under the concept "fits with you," designed for young people who love sharing photos on social media, going on sale September 29, 2026, priced at 5,690 baht.

Upgrades from the first generation

The instax Pal 2 uses a 1/3.06-inch image sensor, with resolution increased to 10 megapixels from 5 megapixels previously. Internal storage now holds 100 photos, up from 50, and it supports microSD cards.

On design, it features a top screen for reviewing shots after capture, a viewfinder, a control dial, and a lever switch. The body has a premium semi-matte finish and comes with a wrist strap and an angle adjuster that doubles as a stand.

30 effects

The heart of the device is 30 image effects across 5 themes: Modern (natural tones), Y2K (classic digital-camera style), Vintage (retro mood), Chromatic (vivid colors), and Fantasy (dreamlike textures). These are downloaded via the instax Pal app, with up to 6 storable on the camera at once and switchable via the dial. It supports 4 shooting formats — mini, SQUARE, WIDE, and No Frame — for direct output to an instax Link printer or hybrid cameras like the instax Evo and instax LiPlay.

The instax Animation mode lets users push the lever to shoot up to 10 continuous frames, which are then automatically processed into a flipbook-style video, converted into a QR code printed onto instax film that can be scanned later to watch the video. Transferring images to the app works via Bluetooth or a USB Type-C cable, at speeds of about 0.7 seconds per image.

instax Link WIDE 2

Fujifilm also launched the instax Link WIDE 2, a new smartphone printer that prints instax WIDE film, twice the size of mini film. Its highlight is Photo Mixer, which combines several favorite photos into a single postcard-style collage. It comes in 2 colors, Duo Beige and Duo Blue, with faster Bluetooth connectivity, priced at 6,090 baht.

Event

On September 26, 2026, Fujifilm is holding the instax Photo (DUMP) Ride event at Siam Square, starting at the FUJIFILM House of Photography, then riding a MuvMi shuttle to take photos around Siam, with a chance to win an instax Pal 2 — limited to just 25 spots, registered via the Facebook page instax Thailand. There's also a Touch & Try activity at 16 dealer stores in Bangkok, including CentralWorld, Siam Paragon, EmQuartier, and Mega Bangna, starting September 15, 2026.
