Thais flock to book accommodation with points! POINTX teams up with Expedia to unveil a new travel trend
POINTX and Expedia Group reveal insights from the XTravel platform on the POINTX app showing 62% of users pay fully with points and 38% combine points with SCBX group cards
POINTX, together with Expedia Group, revealed user behavior on the XTravel Powered by Expedia platform, launched on the POINTX app in late April 2026, finding that 62% of users chose to pay for accommodation entirely with points, while 38% combined points with an SCBX-group credit or debit card.
Krittithee Manoleehagul, CEO of POINTX, said the figures reflect how a mixed points-plus-cash payment system eases point-balance limitations, with usage volume continuing to grow through the first half of June.
