Xiaomi is set to officially launch the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max in China on September 23, 2026, featuring a "hardware-level privacy display" never before seen on an Android smartphone at this tier.

Privacy display

This feature prevents people nearby from seeing the screen from a side angle, similar to what's found on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. The difference is that it works at the hardware level rather than through a software light filter, giving far more accurate and effective results.

Both models use a new M11 Luminescent panel, which Xiaomi claims is 20% more power-efficient than the previous generation, with up to 4,000 nits peak brightness and a bezel just 0.99mm thin, delivering sharper clarity than a typical 2K display.

Battery, camera, and chip

The Xiaomi 18 Pro has a 7,000mAh battery, while the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max packs in as much as 8,500mAh, one of the largest batteries in any current flagship smartphone. The triple rear camera system, co-branded with Leica, includes a 200MP main sensor and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens (a long-zoom camera system using an internal prism in a thin device).

Both models use a 2-nanometer chip expected to be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro, running HyperOS 4, with a newly upgraded rear display supporting AI-generated apps. Colors available are black, Galaxy Blue, and white.

Pricing and release date for Thailand have not yet been announced.
