Code found in iOS 27 reveals 5 camera features expected on the iPhone 18 Pro

Analysts on the MacRumors forum find Exposure Scopes, Focus Peaking, Highlight Warnings, burst-timer retakes, and aperture-based editing
Code hidden within the iOS 27 operating system has revealed 5 camera capabilities expected to come with the iPhone 18 Pro, discovered by an analyst on the MacRumors forum going by the name "pdfu."
The five features are: Exposure Scopes, which display a waveform graph and histogram for precise exposure control; Focus Peaking, which highlights the edges of in-focus subjects with colored lines on the preview screen; Highlight Warnings, which flag overexposed areas with solid color, a flickering pattern, or grid lines; Repeated Self-Timer, which sets continuous-shot timing and automatically resets the timer between shots; and Aperture-Based Image Correction, which adjusts image correction based on changing aperture values.
These features are not yet usable in the current beta version and will be limited to devices that ship with iOS 27. The aperture-based correction capability is considered the most significant hardware signal, as it indicates the iPhone 18 Pro will feature a variable-aperture lens — something no previous iPhone has had.
