Huawei Digital Power launched FusionSolar 9.0 at the Huawei Digital Power Summit in Thailand, describing it as the world's first grid-forming solar inverter, which helps stabilize the transmission grid from the renewable-energy side itself. The event drew more than 700 policymakers and energy experts.
Jack Zheng, an executive at Huawei Digital Power Thailand, said grid-forming technology and AI will be key as renewable energy becomes the dominant power source and the grid must support fast-growing loads from AI data centers and EV charging infrastructure.
